In a reality where masks conceal truth and puppets dance to society's tune, Gris, a trans teenager yearning for acceptance, finds solace in a mysterious realm of enchanting puppets. Guided by the self-assured Rosa, they navigate a journey of self-discovery, confronting the allure of deception and the power of authenticity. As they unravel the secrets of this surreal landscape, they unearth the courage to break free from the strings that bind them, ultimately discovering that true happiness and freedom lies in embracing their unmasked selves.
UnMasked is an animated short directed by me in order to illustrate a glimpse of my story "UnMasked." I was in charge of storyboards, character designs, backgrounds, and animation but none of it would be possible without the help of my incredible crew!

Dizzycat (Segment)
Casper the cat has a chat with Barb the dog, coming to the realization that certain sensual euphemisms and jokes often imply "the real deal." "The birds and the bees" are far from literal and there is some truth within the exaggerated phrases found across social media.
Dizzcat is an indie project led by Sapphily. All characters and dialogue were written by her. Barb is voiced by Skylar Holt and Casper is voiced by Mr. Sane.
